Featured Exhibits

Quench your innate human curiosity and desire to explore while discovering our solar system and the universe beyond. Signature exhibits include self-navigated virtual tours that will highlight high resolution imagery of our galaxy and dramatic examples of bizarre galactic phenomena captured by NASA. A light-lock entrance into the gallery leads you into the abyss of the unknown. Exploring space invites us to investigate our constantly evolving understanding of the cosmos of which we are a part.

Moon Projection Globe
Visit the Moon Projection Globe exhibit and examine the moon’s extremely different surface, including its ancient craters, up close and personal on our 18” diameter projection globe. Observing the moon in high definition allows you to investigate and examine its illuminated surface in a higher degree of detail than ever before.

Mars Flyover
Astronauts wanted! Take a ride over the Red Planet in our Mars Flyover exhibit. Strap yourself into the flight chair and command the flight controls to explore the surface of Mars in virtual reality. This dynamic exhibit will give you the opportunity to explore some of the most striking regions of Mars including Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the Solar System, the North Polar Ice Cap, and even the Spirit and Opportunity rover landing sites. You will need to use your investigative skills to search for signs of a watery past on the Red Planet in this interactive exhibit.

Exploring the Milky Way
Take the cosmic journey of a lifetime at our Exploring the Milky Way exhibit. Navigate your way through the galaxy with our realistically-rendered digital universe. Venture to the Black Hole, investigate a supernova, and be amazed by several of the spectacularly beautiful and fascinating nebulae. You have many options in this exhibit; you may navigate on your own through the galaxy or, for a more detailed experience, a variety of pre-programmed voyages will be available with narration.

Multi-Wavelength Viewers
Have you ever wished the stars could be closer when you look up in the night sky? Would you like to zoom-in on the Big Dipper and other fascinating constellations? The opportunity awaits you in our Multi-Wavelength exhibit with an observation station where you can explore a projected image of the night sky. Pan across the sky and zoom in on anything you find interesting to learn more about it. This exhibit will enable you to look at the sky with new eyes and a broader knowledge of our stars and realize just how awe-inspiring the universe truly is.
