Outreach Program Manager

Job Purpose:
Coordinate the design and implementation of educational outreach science programs

Reporting to:
Vice President of Programs

Key Responsibilities:  

Program Design & Implementation:

• Coordinate with the VP of Programs on the design and development of a comprehensive Outreach Science Program (OSP) plan

• Manage the CSC’s Outreach Science Program including;
• Supervise and schedule of Outreach Science Program staff,
• Develop and track OSP budgets,
• Prepare OSP program and evaluation reports,
• Manage the inventory of program props and materials,
• Other administrative duties as necessary
• Develop and present outreach science education programs for K-12 school students, community and youth organizations, CSC partners and other science education organizations, and at CSC marketing and promotional events
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Experience:  Bachelors degree in science or education.  Previous experience developing and presenting outreach science programs

Characteristics:  Good organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage staff and budgets, desire to work as part of a larger program and exhibits team, strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Requirements: Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, CT driving license.

Workplace Environment: Includes substantial travel.
