Job Purpose: Coordinate the design and implementation of programs targeting families and a variety of community youth organizations
Reporting to: Vice President of Programs
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design & Implementation:
Coordinate with the VP of Programs on the design and development of a comprehensive plan to provide families and various community-based youth groups with science-related program opportunities including over-night camp-in programs, after school programs, school vacation and summer programs, among others.
Manage the CSC’s camp-in, after school, holiday, and summer vacation programs including;
Supervise and schedule teaching staff to present programs
Develop and track program budgets,
Prepare program and evaluation reports,
Manage the inventory of program props and materials,
Other administrative duties as necessary
Serve as a CSC liaison to various community youth organizations and vendors including the Scouts
Other duties as deemed necessary
Experience: Bachelors degree in science or education. Previous experience organizing community or youth programs.
Characteristics: Good organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage staff and budgets, desire to work as part of a larger program and exhibits team, strong communication and presentation skills.
Additional Requirements: Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Workplace Environment: Includes travel throughout CT
