Guests who wait until the last minute may miss out on discounted rates—and in some cases, may even pay a bit more for general admission. Here are some tips to get the best price.
- Visit Midweek: Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually the least busy — and the most affordable.
- Avoid Holidays & School Breaks: Peak times like weekends and holidays will tend to cost a bit more.
- Book Early: Prices are lower the further in advance you buy your tickets.

Do members need to worry about plan-ahead pricing?
Connecticut Science Center members don’t need to worry—membership pricing and benefits are not affected by plan-ahead pricing. However, if you plan to bring additional guests, we recommend purchasing their tickets in advance to get the best available price.

Do I have to visit on the date I buy a ticket for?
Yes. Tickets are only valid for the date selected at the time of purchase. Make sure to plan accordingly.

What if I need to change my ticket date?
You have the freedom to change the date of your visit after purchasing tickets. Should you select a new date, or time with a higher admission cost, you will simply need to pay the difference. No refunds will be issued if you exchange for a less-expensive visit date and time.

What if the price for my visit date goes down after I purchase?
Prices may increase closer to your visit date. They will never go down, though they may start below current general admission prices. That is why it is always best to plan a visit further in advance so that you will have the greatest opportunity to save.

Yes, but ticket prices at the door reflect the same Plan-Ahead Pricing and may be higher or limited based on availability. Online purchase in advance is always recommended.
