Hartford, CT (April 5, 2024) Andy Tanaka, Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer at Wesleyan University, has been elected to the Connecticut Science Center Board of Trustees. A dedicated and passionate professional focused on science education and community involvement, he is poised to bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the Science Center’s leadership team. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy to our Board of Trustees,” said Matt Fleury, Connecticut Science Center President and CEO. “His exceptional leadership skills and genuine enthusiasm for STEM education make him a strong addition to the Board. About Andy Tanaka As the Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and Treasurer, Andy Tanaka provides leadership for managing Wesleyan University's financial resources and achieving its overall strategic goals. 

Prior to joining Wesleyan in 2004 as a major gift officer, Andy worked for the consulting firm Towers Perrin and then as a national account executive at Aetna. He graduated from Wesleyan with a BA in economics and earned his MBA through the executive program at Cornell University. Andy also serves on the boards of the Middlesex YMCA, the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County.
