Animal Appetites

Our wildlife biologist is out for the day, and we need your students’ help to make sure the animals get the right dinner. But there’s a problem — one sneaky critter has snuck an extra snack! Through video footage, size analysis, and a little math, students will piece together each animal’s correct meal. This hands-on activity builds problem-solving skills while teaching about the diverse diets of the animal kingdom. Can your students crack the case and feed the animals? Let’s get to learning!

Program

Playing with Polymers

Learn the power of polymers! Students will dive into the wild world of polymers through hands-on fun with silly putty, instant snow, and jelly marbles. They'll explore real-world uses for these materials (like diapers and plastic bags), and learn how cross-linked molecules form all that gooey goodness. Science has never been so satisfyingly squishy!
