Processing and Delivery
Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing and delivery of Membership cards. If you wish to visit before you receive your Membership cards, please bring your valid photo ID to the ticket counter to receive a temporary card.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferrable. At least one named member listed on the Membership card must be present and is included in the admission count when visiting. Named members must be over the age of 18 years. For your security, named members will be asked to show a photo ID when visiting. Admission privileges do not include visits with school groups or other group reservations. Memberships are exclusively for the Connecticut Science Center. We do not participate in any reciprocal membership programs or ASTC Passport.

- For 2 Person Memberships and above, you may name two adults over the age of 18 as named members.

How does it work?
With 2 Person Memberships and above you may list up to 2 named adult members – those members must be over the age of 18.
Considering a 4 Person Membership? This means a total of 4 people may enter per visit. At least one of these people must be a named member.
Options include 2 named members + 2 guests, or 1 named member + 3 guests.
Caregiver Add-on: $30
This feature allows you to add a third name so that a grandparent, au pair or other caregiver may also use your Membership and visit with your children. (Available on 3 Person Memberships and above.)
Not sure if a Membership is what you want right away? That’s OK; try before you buy! Our trade-in option allows you to purchase General Admission tickets and then apply a portion of the ticket purchase towards the purchase of a new Membership. Plus, we offer $10 off same day trade-ups!
But, if you need more time to decide, trade-ups with your original receipt are accepted 30 days after your General Admission purchase.
The receipt from your General Admission sale MUST be presented at the time of trade-up!
Yes. Simply show your photo ID at our ticketing counter; our
staff can look up your Membership for you. They will provide a
temporary card for you to use in the gift shop and parking garage for
the day. If you have lost your card, you can request a new one at the
ticketing counter during your visit.
All Memberships (excluding
Individual) allow for 2 named adults over the age of 18. As our
Memberships are not restricted to single families, the two named
adults do not have to live in the same household or be related, but
each named member must be able to provide a valid photo ID at the
ticketing counter during each visit. Only one of the named members
must be present for the Membership to work.
No. One named member must
always be present if a Membership is being used. If you’d like to
send your children to the Science Center with a relative or
babysitter, consider our Caregiver add-on option!
View Membership Levels
No. Only one caregiver can be
added on to a Membership, and the named caregiver may only be changed
once during a year of Membership. If you need to change a named
caregiver, please call the Membership Office at (860) 520-2108.
Yes. We fully support
giving the gift of Science! You may purchase a gift of Membership
, at the ticketing counter, or over the phone.
While we do not participate in the ASTC passport program, we
do occasionally partner with different area attractions to provide
our members with more destinations to enjoy. To see who we are

If you would
like to upgrade to a higher level of Membership, you may do so at the
ticketing counter during your next visit or by calling the Membership
office. You’ll only pay the difference between your current
Membership and any level to which you wish to upgrade.
Yes. You have 30 days from the day of your visit to apply a portion or all of
your General Admission towards a Membership. You may apply the number
of General Admission tickets that corresponds to the level of
Membership you’d like to purchase. For example, if you purchased 4
General Admission tickets, you may apply all four tickets to a 4
Person Membership or above, but you may only apply 3 of those tickets
to a 3 Person Membership, or 2 tickets to a 2 Person Membership, and
so on. You will need the receipt from your visit in order to trade
up. You can trade up at the Ticketing Counter or by calling the
Membership Office at 860-520-2108.
No. We do not prorate any
upgrades or add-ons. Any upgrade or caregiver add-on will expire on
the same date as your original Membership purchase. If you are within
a few months of expiring, you can choose to renew your Membership
early at the higher level and have your new benefits begin
