Information
Investigate! encourages teens interested in science to explore engaging in-depth STEM areas typically not covered in school. Each workshop provides an opportunity to explore multiple areas, increase enthusiasm for STEM, and highlight many STEM careers. Some topics include food science, computer coding, sound engineering, and architecture & design.
Science Center Teen Programs are made possible with major support from the Gawlicki Family Foundation, Liberty Bank Foundation, and The Neag Foundation. Additional support is provided by HSB, the Stanley D. and Hinda N. Fisher Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, M&T Charitable Foundation, and the Right Track Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
APPLICATION
Applications will be posted in the fall of 2025! What are we looking for in applications? First, we want to know if you can attend all program dates. Second, we try to have a mix of participants from different grades and different schools. Finally, we want to see that you are interested in exploring different areas of science. If you don’t think your grades in science are great, or even if you don’t like school science classes – that’s OK! We are more interested in what you want to learn than what you have learned already.
