Investigate! gives teens with an interest in science to explore engaging in depth STEM areas that are typically not covered in school. Each workshop provides an opportunity to explore multiple areas, increase enthusiasm for STEM, and highlight many STEM careers. Some topics include food science, computer coding, sound engineering, and architecture & design.
Investigate! is made possible by the Scripps Family Fund for Education & the Arts, the Stanley D. and Hinda N. Fisher Fund at Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, The Vernon D. and Florence E. Roosa Family Foundation Memorial Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and the Edith W. and John Davis Murphy Fund at Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
Investigate! is free of charge and bus passes are included.
Participants must commit to attending the full program on-site.
We are hosting two separate fall sessions. Students can apply to one or both if they desire. Applications will be counted and reviewed separately.
Interested in participating? Applications links can be found below. Apply today!
What are we looking for in applications? First, we want to know that you can
attend all program dates. Second, we try to have a mix of participants from
different grades and different schools. Finally, we want to see that you are
interested in exploring different areas of science. If you don’t think your grades
in science are great, or even if you don’t like school science classes – that’s OK!
We are more interested in what you want to learn than what you have learned
