Meet the Animals: Echo the Black Roughneck Monitor

Echo is a captivating black roughneck monitor who is part of the amazing Under the Canopy: Animals of the Rainforest traveling exhibition, open for just a few more days at the Connecticut Science Center. Native to Southeast Asia, these monitors are a treat to watch in the wild, and even more fascinating up close. The exhibition offers an up-close encounter with this incredible creature, highlighting their unique features and natural behaviors. Watching Echo in this video, we get a glimpse into their world and their beauty. This exhibition is a must-see for anyone interested in the amazing animals of the rainforest.

Nick Villagra is a STEM Educator at the Connecticut Science Center, responsible for developing and delivering science experiences, including classroom lab programs, stage shows, and vacation camps.
