We have all watched the weather on the news, but do you know everything that goes into creating that forecast? Complex scientific models, changing variables, and technology are just some of what impacts accurate predictions of weather. Some of our Teen Innovation Students sat down with Mark Dixon of Channel 3 Eyewitness News to talk more about his career as a meteorologist. Teen Innovation at the Connecticut Science Center provides youth, primarily from under-resourced communities in Connecticut, with opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, gain confidence, and explore STEM career and college pathways. Teen Innovation Ambassadors spend six weeks over the summer creating original programs and exhibits that teach others about STEM.
