DESIGN YOUR FIELD TRIP


During a field trip to the Connecticut Science Center, students can
explore more than 165 fascinating exhibits that were designed to support
the Next Generation Science Standards. They’ll take part in immersive science activities that will inspire their curiosity about the world around them.

ADMISSION INFORMATION

  • Hours
    September – June: Wednesday - Friday, 9AM-4PM
    July – August: Open Daily, 10AM-4PM
    Weekends: 10AM-4PM

    Please note:
    We are open select Tuesdays in October—December, and May—June.

    Admission to the Science Center includes entry to all Exhibit Galleries, including our current traveling exhibit.

Payment Policies

  • Full payment is due in advance of your trip. We accept organizational checks and credit cards.
  • If you need to make alternate payment arrangements, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • Headcount changes must be made 5 business days in advance of your visit.
  • Refunds will not be issued for overpayments.
  • Science Center and Corporate memberships cannot be used for group attendees.

FIELD TRIP ADD-ONS

  • Discovery Center Labs*

    During a facilitated laboratory program, students are active participants, performing investigations and learning how science is a part of their own everyday experiences. Each lab aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards.

  • Theater Shows

    Experience science in an engaging environment with a visit to our Hoffman Foundation Science Theater. 3D Movies offer a unique three-dimensional experience enabling students to learn about the science that affects our lives.

  • Food Options
    • We recommend reserving a lunch room at the time of booking, pending availability.
    • If your group does not make a lunch reservation, lunch can be eaten on Riverfront Plaza, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the Science Center cannot guarantee availability for on-site reservations.
    • Boxed lunches may be ordered from our on-site SUBWAY at least 7-10 days before your visit date. Take advantage of this option!
